What is the difference between storage tanks and reservoirs? Do reservoirs also require dikes?
I think. There is no difference. Standard glass-lined tank drawings are all referred to as storage tanks; I’ve seen non-standard drawings that are also called storage tanks.
Generally, the storage tanks are relatively small. Storage tanks can be large or small.

Personally, I don’t see any difference between storage tanks and reservoirs; it all depends on naming conventions. As for whether a dike is needed, it depends on the location of the reservoirs – if they are in a centralized tank area or within the plant area. Dikes are necessary in tank areas, while those located within the plant area are part of an integrated facility, and the isolation ditches provided by the facility can be used instead
