Dear experts, I have a container with a design pressure of 0.75 MPa; the pipe flanges used are of the PN10 series. It is recommended to choose flanges of a higher grade for verification – is this necessary?

Determine the maximum allowable operating pressure for the flange made of the corresponding material at the design temperature; as long as it meets this requirement, it’s acceptable. In terms of size, there seems to be no difference between PN10 and PN16. Additionally, for certain flammable, explosive, or toxic media, some standards require that the pressure rating be no lower than PN16, in addition to complying with other relevant regulations.
If PN16 flanges are used frequently in the factory, then PN16 flanges should be used; there’s no need to cause trouble by seeking alternative suppliers. It doesn’t cost much more, and the cost of transportation isn’t even enough to cover that difference...
