I’m just starting to work with reaction kettles, and there are many things I don’t know
It’s not some device, but rather a cover for a spare port.
Threaded sealing plugs – there are also quick-release versions of these, with springs that hold them in place and can be removed by pressing on the springs.
A reaction vessel is generally referred to as the equipment used for reaction or heat exchange in chemical plants, and there are specific standards for it.

Is this a low-pressure device, or a vacuum device?
