Previously, the air storage tank had only one pressure gauge port; an additional safety valve port was added for the safety valve. During the review today, the supervisor said that the pressure is indicated together with the safety valve. She mentioned that it’s a new regulation and advised me to look into it on my own. Now, the air storage tank is connected to both the pressure gauge and the safety valve through a tee connection, right? Does anyone in the class know?
\"Regulations on Safety Technical Inspection of Fixed Pressure Vessels\", 9.2.1.3: A tee stopcock or needle valve shall be installed between the pressure gauge and the pressure vessel, and no fittings or connections for other purposes shall be attached.
Since the safety valve and pressure gauge are not designed to be on the same pipe outlet, you can ask your auditors to provide the evidence for this.
Check the regulations set by standards and codes regarding the installation of pressure gauges and safety valves.
I’ve never seen such a rule, and this claim doesn’t make sense either; the interface of the pressure gauge is quite small, while that of the safety valve is larger, so it can’t be the same interface

That can’t be right; the pressure gauge should be installed near the safety valve, so that the pressure it measures reflects the pressure at the safety valve, rather than being connected to just one end of a pipe.
There’s no such thing, and it’s extremely rare for people to pretend like that. As for the specific installation method, you need to follow the requirements outlined in the as-built drawings.
Don’t skimp on the design either, as it will cause unnecessary trouble.
