I would like to ask whether the extension height of the pipe fitting in the diagram is A or B, or neither? I don’t understand the concept of outward extension height

However, many organizations specify the length to which the pipe extends outside in the drawings; in some cases, this refers to the distance between the flange sealing surface and the equipment’s centerline or the tangent line of the head ； It also refers to the distance from the intersection of the center axis of the takeover and the inner wall of the container shell to the flange sealing surface. Therefore, the specific dimensions shall be as indicated in the relevant drawings.
Neither. The height from the flange sealing surface to the outer surface of the equipment is the external height; in your double-layer design, there is a cylinder and a shell
Is it used for hole reinforcement? For the inner cylinder, it is calculated based on its outward extension; for the outer cylinder, it is calculated based on its outward extension as well. However, this approach is not very suitable for situations with complex stress conditions.
Are you referring to calculating it based on the part that is above the housing?
