I need to design a pressure testing fixture with a hydrostatic testing pressure of 13.75 MPa. I plan to make a hole in the flange cover, but I’m not sure yet what size that hole should be. What is the diameter of the stainless steel pipe that is welded to this flanged cover with an opening?
What is the hole in the flange cover for? Should a pressure gauge be installed on welded small tubes?
