Small cracks appear in the welds of the spherical tank legs. What is the reason for this?
Welding quality, no other reason.
Personal analysis is that the heat treatment was not done properly and the stress distribution was uneven. However, the manufacturing unit reported that they could not analyze the cause and had never encountered this situation before.
The construction unit did not control the construction quality well. :P
The welding quality problem should be very shallow and can be eliminated by polishing.
After polishing 2mm, I found that the cracks were still extending, so I didn't dare to polish further.
