Within the specified nozzle area, those that meet the wall thickness requirements may not need to be considered.
Theoretically, within the ranges of nozzle size and wall thickness recommended by GB150, they may be disregarded. However, it’s best to calculate them all to have a clear understanding. After all, nowadays calculations are done using software; it just involves entering a few more data points, so it isn’t cumbersome at all.
Calculations must be done for all different stress conditions!
Those that meet the requirement of no additional drilling for reinforcement can be disregarded.
Enter all the take over specifications; if GB150 requirements are met and no reinforcement calculation is needed, the software will provide a notification with the results.
