As shown in the figure, when using PVELite to design an ASME vessel, the exported calculation report shows a highlighted error: “Absolute Maximum of all Stress Ratios: 15.6787 *”. The absolute maximum value of all stress ratios is 15.6787 *. I would like to ask: 1. What exactly does a stress ratio refer to? Could you elaborate? 2. Are there any regulations regarding the Stress Ratio in ASME BPVC VIII-1?
It is a cone-top tank; I was able to get the calculation results back to normal by adjusting the dimensions of some of the transition folds in the cone-top section. What puzzles me is how exactly this stress radius is calculated – I’m not sure if there are any corresponding calculation formulas in ASME standards Could you please answer it?

The meaning of the stress ratio varies from one place to another, right? Here it refers to the “calculated combined stress”/“allowable stress” under different operating conditions; the issues related to node 30 have been marked in red. What are you still looking for? Adjust the dimensions of the component at node 30.
