I would like to ask the experts: The refractory lining of the high-temperature furnace shell has fallen off, and the steel plates of the furnace shell have been damaged over an area of half a square meter. I now want to repair it – should I carry out patching work, or should I simply apply a new layer and weld it in place? Thank you for your advice.
Cut off the originally damaged part and replace it with a new plate, then weld it in place. Fast speed, rest assured.

Actually, if it doesn’t affect the fixed furnace lining, it might not need to be repaired either; just for reference.
