For the vent pipe of a 1000-cubic-meter storage tank, a load-bearing frame needs to be installed on the tank wall – how should the tank wall be checked?
A 1000-cubic-meter storage tank certainly cannot be classified as a large storage tank.
It’s not about determining exactly what volume constitutes a large storage tank; the main focus is on understanding the types of load-bearing support structures used for the tank walls or roof, as well as the impact of pipeline loads on the tank walls and how to calculate this impact. It is beyond the range of local stress calculation for ws6.
If the pipe is not too large, calculation is generally not required.
