Dear teachers, 0.95-liter welding gas cylinders (small tanks) that are exported abroad and used to contain gases under liquefied pressure (for use in the food industry), with an internal pressure of around 5 MPa – do they fall under the category of pressure vessels that are subject to regulatory controls?
A pressure vessel refers to a sealed device used to hold gases or liquids and capable of withstanding a certain pressure; its scope is defined as those with a maximum operating pressure of 0.1 MPa (gauge pressure) or higher; 2. Gases, liquefied gases, and liquids with a maximum operating temperature equal to or higher than their standard boiling point ; 3. Fixed and mobile containers with a volume of 30 L or more and an inner diameter (for non-circular cross-sections, this refers to the largest geometric dimension of the internal boundaries) of 150 mm or more. All 3 requirements for pressure vessels must be met in order to be considered compliant. A volume of 0.95 L does not meet the requirements for classification as a pressure vessel.
According to the Catalogue of Special Equipment, gas cylinders, liquefied gas cylinders, and cylinders containing liquids with a standard boiling point of 0°C or lower, whose nominal working pressure is greater than or equal to 0.2 MPa (gauge pressure) and whose product of pressure and volume is greater than or equal to 1.0 MPa•L, are classified as pressure vessels; (I personally think it also depends on which ** the goods are exported to, as well as the standard requirements set by that **.)

It falls under that category; the definition of a pressure vessel or gas cylinder is that the product of pressure and volume is greater than 1.
