N08367 is a 6mo stainless steel, a super austenitic stainless steel with excellent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. Its resistance to chloride pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion is superior to that of 3-series stainless steels, while its cost is lower than that of corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys. It exhibits excellent corrosion resistance in various severe corrosion environments, is suitable for high-chloride aqueous solutions and chloride-corrosion environments, and also possesses outstanding corrosion resistance in harsh conditions such as high-temperature seawater or flue gas desulfurization units. Under certain conditions, it possesses corrosion resistance on par with that of Hastelloy and pure titanium; its corrosion resistance is also comparable to that of other corrosion-resistant nickel-based alloys such as C-276, while offering a significant cost advantage.
