A dry gas seal, also known as a “dry-running gas seal,” is a new type of shaft end seal that utilizes slotted sealing technology for gas sealing; it belongs to the category of non-contact seals. Features: Good sealing performance, long service life, no need for a sealing oil system, low power consumption, simple operation, and low operating and maintenance costs. As a maintenance-free sealing system that requires no cooling of the sealing surface nor lubricating oil, dry gas seals are replacing floating ring seals and labyrinth seals to become the primary type of shaft seal for high-speed centrifugal compressors in the petrochemical industry. Applicable scenarios: High-speed fluid machinery such as centrifugal compressors, suitable for situations where a small amount of process gas leaks into the atmosphere without causing any harm, such as in air compressors and nitrogen compressors.
