Can a Φ3.0 titanium wire be used to weld titanium plates with a thickness of δ=12mm? The welder suggested buying a Φ2.5 wire, but I purchased one of Φ3.0 instead. I’m not sure if it can be used in the welder’s practical examination

Manual welding, or automatic welding? Automatic welding of 3 mm is acceptable; manual welding is indeed too large for that thickness
