There are various media inside the pressure vessel, and H2S is also present there. How should the information regarding the properties of these media be entered in the relevant field?
Internal medium of the device: CO2/H2/CO/H2S
At the moment, the exact concentration of H2S inside is unknown; therefore, it’s not clear whether it should be classified as a high-risk medium
The H2S content is determined by the process engineering team.
HG/T 20660-2017, \"Classification Standards for Toxicity Hazards and Explosion Risks of Chemical Media in Pressure Vessels,\" stipulates that when the concentration exceeds the specified threshold, classification should be based on the highest level of toxicity; however, in many drawings, a hydrogen sulfide mole fraction of over 1% still results in a medium-level classification. I don’t know how to interpret it?
A1.2.3 Determination of the toxicity hazard level and explosion risk level of media: It is determined in accordance with HG 20660—2000 \"Classification of Toxicity Hazards and Explosion Risks of Chemical Media in Pressure Vessels\". For HG 20660, no specific provisions are given; the pressure vessel design unit shall determine the medium category in accordance with the principles of GBZ 230—2010 \"Classification of the Hazard Levels of Occupational Exposure to Toxic Substances\". Do not follow the latest determination.
