Heat exchanger, operating at 169 bar and 309 degrees Celsius; one of the four manholes at the bottom of the heat exchanger starts to leak when the pressure reaches 20 bar. The manholes are sealed using flange covers with grooved surfaces, and high-pressure gaskets are used for sealing. I’m seeking help from everyone out there!
We checked the flange sealing surface; our pipeline filters were leaking frequently, and the problem was resolved after reworking the flange surface
The foreigners used a screw tensioner to tighten it, but it still didn’t work – the head is too large
What material is the cushion made of? Could it be that the cushion isn’t placed properly?
Please help provide the type, material, and manufacturer of the gasket. Personally, I think the problem lies with the gasket or the flange.
