Heat exchangers use heat transfer media, and moreover, graphite has a low heat transfer coefficient as well as high processing difficulties. It’s not a reaction channel, so heat exchangers made of other materials can be used just fine. The reaction channel is corrosion-resistant due to graphite or silicon carbide.
