How to fill in the welding or welding length during design. Which value should be filled in?
As specified in 151, for expansion jointing, the value obtained by subtracting 3 mm from the thickness of the tube sheet is compared with 50 mm; the smaller value is used. The welding height refers to the total height of the groove and the weld corners
If the weld corner height is unknown, it seems that the calculation can still be performed without entering it, and a prompt will indicate the required weld corner height. For ordinary heat exchangers, an exposed height of 1.5, along with a bevel of 2, results in a total height of 3.5, which is more than sufficient to meet the requirements. Of course, the large-diameter heat exchange tubes need to be determined based on the design.
