I’m currently designing a condenser, and I want to ask whether, when using a cooling tower to cool the circulating water, the inlet and outlet temperatures of this water differ between winter and summer When designing a condenser, should it be designed taking into account the water temperature of the circulating water in winter and summer? For example, the circulating water temperature is 32-42°C in summer and 22-32°C in winter℃ ; The flue gas temperature drops from 55°C to 48°C in summer, and from 55°C to 45°C in winter. So during design, does a smoke temperature of 55–45 correspond to a water temperature of 22–32, and a smoke temperature of 55–48 correspond to 32–42? Should we still use the worst-case condition of 55-45, corresponding to 32-42?
Calculate separately using the winter load and the summer load; once the values are obtained, take the higher one and multiply it by 1.25. This approach generally meets the production requirements based on experience.
After calculation, for the large operating conditions of 55-45 for the condenser, the corresponding values are 32-42; for temperatures above 55-45, the water temperature ranges from 22-32. When the water temperature is between 22-32 at 55-45, it is higher than the flue gas temperature, and in that case the corresponding value is 32-42. Which one should be chosen in this case?
What’s there to discuss? It is definitely designed for optimal operating conditions. Unless you don’t need to ensure normal operation in extreme weather conditions.
The differences won’t be very large... so there’s no need to worry too much. The temperature of the circulating water varies depending on factors such as the atmospheric conditions, the temperature of the water added, the operating rate of the process, and the number of fans in use. There’s no need to pay too much attention to this; it’s sufficient to aim for a value that is slightly higher than the average. It’s also okay if you don’t try to achieve that exact value, as both in terms of calculations and practical considerations, a certain \"margin of safety\" is taken into account (as someone mentioned earlier, *1.25). So... it’s fine
