The flow meter at the inlet for the purchased steam shows 4.47 t/h, 697 kPa, and 161°C. Is this 697 kPa gauge pressure or absolute pressure?
Under normal circumstances, the flow meter for purchased steam entering the plant displays gauge pressure. Therefore, the 697 kPa here should refer to gauge pressure, rather than absolute pressure. .

Normally, gauge pressure is used for setting, but what you’re seeing here seems to be absolute pressure. The absolute pressure corresponding to saturated steam at 161°C is around 630 kPa; with a slight degree of superheat, it would be around 697 kPa, which I believe is the absolute pressure.
