It doesn’t look exactly like it, but the structure is this
Is it the hinge of that manhole?
It must be that thing – a vertical hatch cover
Are all the drawings available for the vertical lidded manhole?
Since the manhole flange is too heavy, a hanger needs to be designed
Manhole hanger: when opening a manhole, don’t expect one or two people to be able to hold up that flange cover.
This is a manhole flange. I’m right; the manhole cover is of the hanging type, and what’s shown in the picture is the lifting rod for that cover.
It is used to open and close the manhole cover during inspection and maintenance tasks, and serves a similar function to the hinges on doors.
