Successful commissioning of the overflow-type wet rod mill in the Henan Jindadi project Author/Source: Date: 2019-01-24 Clicks: 24 On January 15, the coal slurry preparation rod mill for the 450,000 tons/year synthetic ammonia expansion and renovation project of Henan Jindadi Chemical Co., Ltd., which was constructed by the First Branch of Sinochem 13th Construction Company, was successfully commissioned, producing qualified coal slurry. The project features three coal grinding and slurry preparation production lines. The three overflow-type wet rod mills consist mainly of a feeding section, main bearings, a cylinder section, a transmission section, a cylindrical screen, a main motor, a reducer, a slow-speed transmission device, a lifting device, and a lubrication system. The cylinder diameter is 4m, the cylinder length is 6m, and the total length is nearly 13m. The project team carried out meticulous planning and organized the construction efficiently, overcoming challenges such as a limited construction site and heavy, large-sized equipment components. By ensuring safety and quality, they completed the construction tasks on schedule, meeting the owner’s deadlines and laying a solid foundation for the commissioning of the gasification unit.

On January 19, the gasification unit of the 450,000 tons/year ammonia synthesis plant renovation project carried out by the First Branch was ignited successfully on the first attempt. The gasification unit of this project is the world’s first water-cooled wall waste boiler gasifier for coal slurry – the Jinhua furnace. It utilizes internationally advanced technology, namely the syngas-steam co-generation coal slurry gasification technique. The dimensions of the gasifier are φ2800mm/φ4200mm×32952mm, with a weight of 600 tons (including the radiant waste boiler and water-cooled walls); it is the largest gasifier of its kind in this technical field. The assembly is carried out in stages on-site, with each individual component weighing up to about 400 tons. There are two gasifiers in operation and one as a backup, with each gasifier capable of producing 78,750 Nm3/h of usable gas (CO+H2). The successful ignition of the gasifier has laid a solid foundation for the smooth commissioning of the project.
