According to Shaanxi Chemical Coal Chemical Industry, since January 2026, Shaanxi Chemical Company has focused on process optimization and equipment management, enhancing the operational efficiency of its facilities through technological innovation and intelligent monitoring. Multiple technical upgrades, including the improvement of the burner cooling system in the gasification furnace process, were carried out; through precise control and operations such as inert gas replacement, it was possible to keep Gasifier A operating continuously for 122 days, setting a new record. The integration time for Jinhua D furnace system has been significantly reduced to 3 hours and 32 minutes; the furnace switching operation is safe and efficient, ensuring continuous and stable production. In January 2026, the company’s output of its main products amounted to 173,900 tons, representing a 2.23% increase on a year-on-year basis. Of this amount, 155,200 tons were urea, with a 16.6% increase compared to the previous year, marking a strong start to production for that year. Shaanxi Chemical Group’s ammonia synthesis process utilizes the multi-feed slurry gasification technology developed by the Northwest Research Institute – four gasifiers are used in this system. There are two ammonia synthesis production lines, designated A and B, which came online in 2012/2013. In November 2022, Shaanxi Chemical Industry Company used Jinhua furnace technology to convert the existing D furnace for gasifying slurry-based feedstocks, which was equipped with refractory bricks, into a water-cooled wall coal-water slurry gasification furnace. Shaanxi Chemical Group is a large state-owned enterprise that integrates coal chemical industry, phosphate chemical industry, and fine chemical industry. The plant produces 600,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 1 million tons of urea, 300,000 tons of ammonium phosphate, 130,000 tons of 1,4-butanediol, and 46,000 tons of polytetrahydrofuran per year. The comprehensive energy consumption for ammonia synthesis ranks second among the \"leaders\" in terms of energy efficiency for key energy-consuming industries as identified by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. Among them, there is a plant for producing 520,000 tons of urea, as well as a plant for producing 400,000 tons of large-grain urea.
