The current price of methanol in the Shenyang area is 2,350–2,370 yuan per ton for delivery against cash. Due to the sharp increase in prices in the main production areas, traders have raised their prices as well; downstream companies purchase methanol according to their actual needs. Quotations for methanol in the Two Lakes region are rising, with decent trading activity in the market. The quotes from Hubei-based enterprises have seen a significant increase; the actual ex-factory price is around 2500–2520 yuan per ton ； Quotations for the Hunan market have risen to around 2,630–2,670 yuan per ton. The market price of methanol in Qinghai region is currently unavailable. Due to gas supply restrictions during winter, all the major gas-based production facilities in this region are shut down for maintenance, with production expected to resume in March 2021. The prevailing transaction price in Linfen, Shanxi has risen by 30–100 yuan per ton, reaching 2170–2200 yuan per ton for cash delivery ； The online price in the Changzhi area is 2,260–2,290 yuan per ton, with cash payment required at delivery ； The price of mainstream products in the Jincheng area has risen by 70 yuan per ton, reaching 2250 yuan per ton for cash delivery. The methanol market in Henan continues to rise, with decent trading activity in the market. The leading enterprises in Henan offered 8,250 tons for sale through bidding, and all of it was sold; the final selling price was 2,260–2,265 yuan per ton. Other companies raised their bid prices, with the actual ex-plant price being around 2,270 yuan per ton ； Quotations in the Luoyang market have risen to around 2,300–2,320 yuan per ton, with transactions made for smaller orders. In the Anhui region, the mainstream reference price for methanol has risen by 30 yuan per ton, reaching 2410–2470 yuan per ton for delivery on credit, in the lower-tier market of Huaibei. Prices rose across the mainland, futures prices increased, local manufacturers held their prices, and trading was fairly active. The demand from downstream users in the Fujian region for methanol is generally moderate. At the major storage areas in Quanzhou and Xiamen, current offers range around 2570–2600 yuan per ton, including taxes, for delivery from the storage facilities. The local market is dominated by traditional downstream users, which makes it difficult to see prices rise further at such high levels.
