The prevailing price for methanol at factories in the northern region of Inner Mongolia is 1,450–1,470 yuan per ton when delivered in cash; the price in the southern region is 1,450 yuan per ton upon delivery in cash. At present, most companies have stopped selling methanol. The negotiated price of methanol in the Dongying area of Shandong remains stable at around 1,580–1,600 yuan per ton, ex-works and in cash. Currently, the sentiment among market participants is moderate, with limited purchasing activity on the downstream side. There is potential for further price increases, but the pace will be limited. In the methanol market in central Shandong, local delivery prices have risen by 50–70 yuan per ton, reaching 1600–1750 yuan per ton in cash upon delivery. The Mingshui plant has stopped selling products this week; however, there is an increase in market orders, and the overall trading atmosphere is positive.
