The ammonia synthesis tower for Yichang Xingxing Lan Tian Technology’s coal gasification energy-saving technology upgrade project was safely delivered. Author/Source: Xingfa Group Date: 2020-09-16 Clicks: 109 On the afternoon of August 24th, the last large-scale equipment in this upgrade project, the ammonia synthesis tower, was transported safely from Taiyuan, Shanxi, to the Yidu Green Ecology Industrial Park belonging to Xingfa Group. This journey took over 140 days and covered a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers, with the assistance of multiple agencies. It is understood that the ammonia synthesis tower is 26 meters long, 3.6 meters wide, and 4.03 meters high, with a weight of 283 tons. This equipment serves as the heart of the ammonia synthesis plant; it is the reactor where nitrogen and hydrogen undergo a catalytic reaction to produce ammonia. Due to the fact that the total weight of the vehicles used to transport the large components of the ammonia synthesis tower amounts to 358 tons, and given their large size, it is difficult for them to move normally. This is especially true when passing through key sections such as bridges, downhill areas, and curves, where the speed must be strictly limited, and professional drivers are required to handle steering. To ensure the safe and orderly progress of this shipment, Yichang Xingxing Lan Tian Technology Co., Ltd. actively coordinated with transportation authorities. Through the close cooperation of various departments such as highway administration, traffic police, maintenance teams, and shipping companies, a detailed and compliant transportation plan was developed. These departments provided full support throughout the process, maintaining order and addressing any emergencies that arose during transportation. As a result, the ammonia synthesis tower was delivered successfully to the Yidu facility, laying a solid foundation for the project to be completed and put into operation within the year. △A multi-party collaborative approach is employed to ensure the safe operation of the ammonia synthesis tower. The coal gasification and energy-saving technology upgrade project carried out by Yichang Xingxing Lan Tian Technology Co., Ltd. is a provincial-level key project aimed at helping Yichang implement measures for the protection of the Yangtze River and promoting the transformation and upgrading of the chemical industry. The total investment in this project is nearly 2.4 billion yuan, with a land area of 384 mu; it is located within the Xingfa Group’s Yidu Green Ecology Industrial Park. The project involves a synthetic ammonia production facility with an annual capacity of 400,000 tons, and completion and commissioning are scheduled for the end of 2020. △The ammonia synthesis tower passed through the Songzi West toll station successfully. This project was designed to high standards, incorporating the most advanced coal water slurry gasification technology in the industry. The core technologies used in this project, such as isothermal shift technology, low-temperature methanol washing for gas purification, and low-pressure ammonia synthesis technology, are all advanced and efficient energy-saving and emission-reduction technologies recognized and promoted by the Nitrogen Fertilizer Association. △The ammonia synthesis tower has been safely delivered to the Yidu industrial park. In coal chemical industry, ammonia is produced by combining nitrogen and hydrogen under high temperature and pressure in the presence of a catalyst to form liquid ammonia. In addition to being used directly as fertilizer, nitrogen fertilizers used in agriculture, such as urea, ammonium nitrate, ammonium phosphate, ammonium chloride, and various nitrogen-containing compound fertilizers, all rely on ammonia as a raw material. Yichang Xingxing Lan Tian Technology Co., Ltd. continuously optimizes the system design to enhance the adaptability of raw coal, reduce overall energy consumption and unit manufacturing costs, and make its facilities safer, more environmentally friendly, more energy-efficient, cleaner, and more automated, thus serving as a notable model in the industry. Once the Yidu ammonia synthesis project is completed, liquid ammonia will be transported via pipelines directly to downstream enterprises within the industrial park for use in fertilizer production, generating annual revenue of 1 billion yuan and providing employment for 500 people.
