Meeting on Advancing the Hydrogen and Ammonia Project for Shenma’s Nylon Chemical Industry Was Successfully Held Author/Source: Duonuozi Date: October 24, 2020 Clicks: 24 On October 24, 2020, a meeting on advancing the hydrogen and ammonia project intended to support Shenma’s nylon chemical industry was held successfully at Saiding Engineering Company. More than 30 people attended the meeting, including representatives from Henan Shenma Hydrogen Chemistry Co., Ltd., Saiding Engineering Company, and the patent holders of various process technologies. Fan Li, deputy general manager of Saiding Engineering Company, delivered a welcome speech on behalf of the company, emphasizing the need for cooperation during the project design phase in order to complete all tasks with high quality and high standards. Wang Dayong, General Manager of Shenma Hydrogen Chemical Company, gave overall instructions and requirements regarding the project’s general situation and progress, and expressed the hope that the design institute and the patent holders of various process packages would work together in unity, collaborate closely, and join forces to create a high-quality project. To accelerate the project progress and clarify the design details, the owner, the design institute, and the patent holders of various process packages held group discussions. The participants consulted on the key issues discussed at the kick-off meeting and reached a consensus. The holding of this project advancement meeting marks the official transition of the project from the decision-making phase to the implementation phase. The hydrogen and ammonia project supporting the nylon chemical industry has a total ammonia production capacity of 600,000 tons per year. The project utilizes three units of the world’s advanced 6.5MPa multi-nozzle opposed water-coal slurry gasification technology (2 in operation and 1 as backup), along with isothermal shift, low-temperature methanol washing, liquid nitrogen washing, PSA, and low-pressure ammonia synthesis. Henan Shenma Nylon Chemical Co., Ltd. plans to invest 2,300,665,600 yuan to upgrade its existing hydrogen production facilities in the Pingdingshan Nylon New Materials Industry Cluster in Ye County, Pingdingshan City. Advanced water-coal slurry gasification technology will be used in place of fixed-bed gasification technology; the project will involve the construction of an facility capable of producing 400,000 tons per year of liquid ammonia and 50,000 Nm3/h of hydrogen, with sulfuric acid generated as a by-product. This project will meet the raw material needs of companies in the nylon chemical and nylon technology sectors, enabling self-sufficiency in terms of raw materials.
