Yankuang Guohong has lowered its methanol quote by 70 yuan per ton to 2,750 yuan per ton on a ex-works, free-on-board basis. Its coal-to-methanol plant with an annual capacity of 640,000 tons has been operating using two furnaces since the afternoon of April 12, achieving a daily output of around 1,700 tons. Shandong Rongxin’s methanol price has been reduced by 70 yuan per ton, to 2,750 yuan per ton, with payment made upon delivery at the factory. The methanol production facility that uses coke oven gas with an annual capacity of 250,000 tons is operating steadily, producing around 700 tons per day.
