In April 2026, when Chengdu Yuntu Holding was surveyed by 49 institutions including Shenwan Hongyuan Securities, the company stated that its expansion project for a synthetic ammonia production capacity of 700,000 tons at its base in Yingcheng, Hubei, as well as its 1-million-ton compound fertilizer production project and the associated 475,900-ton urea solution production facility with 95% concentration, had already started trial production and were operating at full capacity. According to Sinochem Third Construction, during the May Day holiday, the various phases of the No. 2 urea production unit at the Yingcheng Xindu Chemical Project in Jiangsu Province were advanced in an orderly manner. The various construction teams worked closely together, advancing the remaining completion tasks steadily while ensuring safety and quality, so as to successfully reach the key milestones in the plant’s water testing phase and lay a solid foundation for the subsequent full commissioning of the plant. At present, 98% of the pipeline welding has been completed; the pipelines are undergoing hydrostatic testing. Equipment installation is 100% finished, as is the installation of custom-made storage tanks. Steel structure installation is 97% complete, and 220,000 meters of electrical and instrumentation cables have been laid; motor testing is currently in progress. According to East Money Network, the first phase of Yingcheng Xindu Chemical’s production facility has a capacity of 520,000 tons of urea, while the second phase, with a capacity of 500,000 tons, is scheduled to be completed in the second quarter of 2026. Yingcheng Xindu Chemical uses a Jinhua-type boiler with water-cooled wall and waste-boiler gasification technology, along with a carbon dioxide stripping urea production process. The ammonia/urea plant will come online in March 2026.
