Themed \"Technology Empowering Plant Protection to Support Food Security,\" this edition of the China Plant Protection Trade Fair aims to continuously improve the level of development in the fields of plant protection and pesticide industry in our country, to help reduce the use of chemical pesticides, and to promote the green and high-quality development of agriculture. The China Plant Protection Exhibition was first held in 1984. After more than 40 years of development, it has become the largest, most authoritative, and influential comprehensive exhibition in the field of plant protection in China. The exhibition area for this edition amounts to 130,000 square meters, the largest ever. Nearly 1,000 companies are participating, and there are 9 exhibition zones including one for leading enterprises, one for smart plant protection solutions, one for innovative products, one for biological pesticides, and one for chemical industry parks. These zones showcase major new achievements and advancements in technologies such as reducing pesticide use while increasing efficiency, green methods for controlling pests and diseases, and intelligent and precise monitoring systems. A range of advanced, practical new technologies, products, and equipment are on display. This edition of the China Plant Protection Trade Fair is being held in Anhui Province for the third time since 2000. This year, Anhui has once again achieved a good harvest in grain production; the total output is expected to exceed 83 billion jin, marking the 21st consecutive year of successful harvests. By the end of October, 5,169 green food products and 1,834 organic agricultural products had been developed. The total output value of the top 10 green food industries reached 1.02 trillion yuan, representing a year-on-year increase of 11.4%. The achievement of these results is inseparable from the fundamental support provided by plant protection work. In recent years, Anhui Province has adhered to a prevention-first approach and comprehensive control strategies, vigorously developing public plant protection, green plant protection, and smart plant protection. It has carried out initiatives to enhance the capacity for pest monitoring and early warning, as well as efforts to reduce pesticide use while improving its effectiveness. By improving the system for unified pest management, the province has succeeded in combating wheat scab, controlling the two major migratory pests affecting rice, and reducing pesticide use in fruit, vegetable, and tea cultivation. According to statistics, Anhui has managed to recover over 8 billion jin of grain losses this year, and the pass rate for routine monitoring of the quality and safety of agricultural products has remained above 98%.
