Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical’s No. 1 power boiler has started up for boiler firing

On March 8, 2026, the boiler firing-up work for Boiler No. 1 in the company’s gas production project aimed at improving energy efficiency and environmental protection, as well as related renovation works, was officially launched, marking the full entry of the project’s commissioning phase into its critical implementation stage. In Shanxi Jinfeng Coal Chemical Gasification, efforts will be made to improve energy efficiency and environmental protection; 12 pure oxygen continuous gasification units (10 in operation and 2 as backups) will be installed to replace the existing 32 fixed-bed intermittent gasification units. A new air separation unit with a capacity of 30,000 m3/h will also be built, and the gas purification systems as well as the zero-discharge wastewater treatment system across the entire plant will be upgraded. After the project is implemented, the overall production capacity remains unchanged, at 360,000 tons of amino alcohol and 520,000 tons of urea per year.
