[Haichuan Overseas Engineering] China Chemical Engineering Donghua Company signs EPC general contract for sulfuric acid project in Jordan

On February 11 local time in Jordan, Donghua Engineering Technology Co., Ltd., which is part of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation (referred to as Donghua Company), and Indo-Jordan Chemicals Company (IJC), affiliated with the Jordanian Phosphate Mining Company (JPMC), officially signed an EPC contract for a project aimed at producing 900,000 tons of sulfuric acid per year. This marks another significant achievement in the implementation of the “T+EPC” model and in strengthening technical leadership to drive engineering general contracting. JPMC Chairman ****·Tenebat, CEO ****·Wahab Ruwaid, IJC General Manager Ali Ababneh ； Meng Chenzhou, General Manager of the company, and Wu Yuefeng, Deputy General Manager, attended the signing ceremony. This project is a key project of ** level in Jordan, and it is carried out in accordance with international high standards regarding technology, engineering, and environmental protection. Donghua Company is responsible for the general contracting of the sulfuric acid production facility. The sulfuric acid produced by this project will be used to help the owner increase its phosphate production capacity from 330,000 tons per year to 550,000 tons per year, thereby enhancing its ability to supply products in international markets. The project is regarded as a model for industrial cooperation between Chinese and Jordanian enterprises; once completed, it will significantly increase the added value of the local phosphate industry and create numerous job opportunities. Tenebat praised Donghua Company’s expertise in the field of phosphorus-based chemicals as well as its highly responsible approach to service, stating that this project is a key element in IJC’s efforts to upgrade phosphate production capacity, and it reflects JPMC’s determination to continue expanding its investments and upgrading its operations. It is hoped that both sides will take this signing as an opportunity to achieve more results in investment and business development, thereby contributing to the deepening of friendly cooperation between China and Jordan. Meng Chenzhou said that this signing is not only an important milestone in the practical cooperation between the two sides, but also a vivid example of Chinese and Greek companies working together to deepen collaboration and pursue common development in the chemical industry. Donghua will fully leverage its strong technical advantages and extensive engineering experience in the sulfur and phosphorus chemical industry to turn the project into a benchmark project in accordance with international standards. At the same time, we look forward to maintaining a long-term cooperative relationship with the other party to jointly develop more high-value international projects.
