Can 3A molecular sieve remove organic substances?

This post was last edited by flute6 on 2012-12-31 08:46. I recently heard that this type of molecular sieve can be used to remove organic substances using steam; I’m not sure if this is true or not. The molecular sieves used in our factory for drying and cracking hydrocarbons turn black within less than half a year. If it’s possible to regenerate them using steam, that would indeed be a good solution. What do everyone think?
Is this okay? ? 3A molecular sieves are capable of adsorbing water; turning black indicates that some organic substances have been adsorbed within them. Can it be regenerated using water vapor? ? ? ? Does high temperature break down organic matter? ?
