Recently, Sinopec established a new company. According to the Tianyancha official website, Tianjin Xingpu Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. was established on April 24. The business scope includes technical services, technical development, technical consulting, technical exchanges, technology transfer, and technology promotion ； Lubricant processing and manufacturing (excluding hazardous chemicals) ； Lubricant sales ； Manufacture of petroleum products (excluding hazardous chemicals) ； Sale of petroleum products (excluding hazardous chemicals) ； Manufacture of specialty chemical products (excluding hazardous chemicals) ； Sale of specialty chemical products (excluding hazardous chemicals) ； Research and development of new material technologies ； New material technology promotion services ； Environmental consulting services ； Sewage treatment and its reuse ； Development of intelligent water management systems, etc. The company is wholly owned by Beijing Xingpu Fine Chemical Technology Development Co., Ltd., which in turn is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sinopec. Tianjin Xingpu Fine Chemicals Co., Ltd. was established in the Tianjin Economic Development Zone, and the project is set to be completed and put into operation in October 2025. The company will rely on the pilot production area at the Tianjin Test Base of SINOPEC Research Institute of Petroleum Processing. Through the Nangang research and pilot platform, it will establish a closed loop for technology commercialization. It will focus on the research, development, production, and sales of high-tech products such as specialty lubricants and high-end chemicals. The Tianjin Test Base of the Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing will primarily develop two major R&D and pilot-scale areas: a scientific research pilot zone and a pilot production zone. The scientific research pilot zone comprises pilot platforms for low-carbon oil processing integration, high-end carbon materials production, hydrogen energy and electrochemical applications, as well as resource recycling. The base is scheduled to become operational in the first half of 2026.
