The temporary wiring of the welding machine used in the workshop is as shown in the figure below; could someone please tell me which regulations are being violated? Thank you all
First of all, I must commend the cleanliness of the workshop, with clear markings of various types. The wiring is also well-organized. The only drawback is that while the wiring diagram in the distribution box is simple, the cables should pass through the explosion-proof entry and exit holes in the box; these holes should be fitted with rubber gaskets, and mechanisms should be in place to secure the cables. The five holes located below the control cabinet in the diagram appear to be of different sizes for cable entry and exit. For specific guidelines, you can refer to the SHT 3556-2015 Standard for Safety Requirements of Temporary Power Distribution Boxes in Petrochemical Processes. If you don’t have it, I can share it with you. These are merely my personal opinions; if there are any mistakes, please feel free to point them out.

Refer to the JGJ46 Technical Code for Safety of Temporary Electricity Use at Construction Sites. It is applicable to construction sites and essentially suitable for all areas where temporary electricity is used.

In fact, many standards can be borrowed. For example, the most basic standards regarding electricity use in construction sites: wires and cables should be installed at a higher height or within conduits on the road surface. Since distribution boxes meet explosion-proof requirements, why not make use of them? It’s both safe and aesthetically pleasing, and the doors of these distribution boxes must remain closed during construction.

This isn’t an explosion-proof electrical box, right? If an explosion-proof electrical box is designed, it’s because there is a need for explosion protection; without explosion-proof sockets, it loses its purpose and poses a safety risk
