I have a question: there is a storage tank for a sodium hypochlorite solution with a concentration of 10 wt% in the project, with a volume of less than 30 m3; it is located outdoors. Due to the tendency of sodium hypochlorite to decompose easily, this adverse effect is likely to be more pronounced in outdoor environments. Are there any specific requirements in the regulations, or are there any effective measures that can be taken to address the issue of sodium hypochlorite’s easy decomposition?
1. Heat preservation. 2. Add cooling aid; keep it below 20, ideally below 15. 3. Lower caustic soda concentration leads to faster decomposition.
Buy one with a higher concentration, but it’s hard to be sure about its decomposition. 1. Light shielding 2. Cooling. 3. Add anti-decomposition agent
