In 640 AD (the 14th year of the Zhenguan era), the Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo, admiring the civilization of the Tang Dynasty, sent an envoy named Lo Tuozan to Chang’an to establish diplomatic relations. The painting \"The Procession to the Imperial Car\" depicts the scene of Lu Dongzan paying a visit to Emperor Taizong of Tang. The existing painting is considered to be a copy from the Song Dynasty. Held in the Palace Museum in Beijing. On silk, colored; 38.5 cm in height and 129.6 cm in width.
