Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary; they both serve to insulate, with the only difference being the direction of heat conduction. They should be interchangeable
I think it’s okay too, but I couldn’t find any standard specifications or relevant materials
Heating pump line – When transporting high-temperature oils with a temperature exceeding 200°C, a DN20–25 heating pump line should be installed in the presence of a backup pump; Setting of the heat pump line: From the outlet shut-off valve of the pump to the check valve. Before starting the standby pump, open the heating pump valve first to allow hot fluid to flow through the pump body of the standby pump and back to the inlet pipe; wait until the temperature rises before starting the standby pump. Anti-freezing measures – When transporting liquids with a high pour point or high freezing point that solidify at normal temperatures, anti-freezing measures should be implemented for the standby pump and pipelines to prevent blockages. For anti-freezing measures, generally two DN20 pipes are used. One of them runs from the pump outlet isolation valve to before the check valve, while the other runs from the pump outlet isolation valve to before the pump inlet isolation valve. Therefore, the pump designed for the heat pump line also requires a anti-condensation pipeline
