What is the difference between LT and LICA in the diagram, and what are the differences in their placement?
LT is a level transmitter that is installed on-site; LICA provides level PID control and alarm functions. Both are functional modules of the control system, that is, they are software-based components. . . So it’s in the control room

LT – Remote level gauge: The circle here indicates a gauge installed on-site. LICA – Level display, control, and alarm; it is a functional code. The circle with a horizontal line inside the box signifies that it is controlled from the control room. H denotes an high-level alarm, an alert when the liquid level is too high
What if my LT is placed on the control box at the site? Is LICA the PLC that is located remotely inside the field control cabinet?
Take a look at SHT3101; it has detailed information in it. . For the two horizontal lines in the circle installed on-site, as for whether to use circles or diamonds for the PLC, it depends on the unified convention adopted in the project
We don’t have a control room; there’s just a PLC located in the electrical control box of the equipment. So, can’t we use squares? Do we have to use circles and horizontal lines instead?
