Since its initiation in 2022, this project has, through more than two years of dedicated effort, created value in three areas. In terms of green development, the company’s production facility capable of manufacturing 120,000 tons of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) and 60,000 tons of polybutylene adipate terephthalate (PBAT) per year has been put into operation, contributing to the advancement of green development in China’s engineering plastics sector. In terms of improving people’s livelihoods, the agricultural plastic films and food packaging products developed as part of this project have benefited many provinces, reducing costs associated with seedling cultivation, fertilizers, pesticides, and mechanical operations by nearly 400 yuan per mu of land. In terms of setting industry standards, this project implements strict quality controls throughout the entire process, from the inspection of raw materials and auxiliary materials to process management and product delivery, thereby providing a practical model for establishing standards for biodegradable materials. Through on-site inspections, listening to reports, reviewing documents, posing questions, and holding discussions, the expert group conducted a comprehensive and thorough evaluation of the project, assigning it an “excellent” rating. Yizheng Chemical Fiber will take this as an opportunity to continue optimizing and updating its standard system. In collaboration with universities and research institutions, it will conduct applied research on different soils and crops to contribute to sustainable development.
