------------------------------------------------------------------------ Recently, the **Energy Administration released 12 typical cases of energy savings and carbon reduction in the refining industry. The project titled \"Research and Application on Energy-Saving Optimization of Compressors in Delayed Coking Units\" carried out by Huajin Group stood out thanks to its innovative technologies and significant results, and was successfully included in this authoritative list. “The project \"Research and Application on Energy-Saving Optimization of Compressors in Delayed Coking Units\" employs intelligent and programmed control technologies to switch the rich gas compressors in coking units from traditional fixed-speed control to automatic pressure control. While ensuring product quality, it can automatically adjust operating parameters to the optimal levels depending on different working conditions, thereby minimizing resource consumption and waste emissions, achieving significant savings in energy use and reduced carbon emissions. It is understood that this project was implemented in July 2021, and after going into operation in January 2022, the energy consumption of the equipment was reduced from 28.27 kilograms of standard oil per ton to 27.05 kilograms of standard oil per ton. This resulted in annual savings of over 9,600 tons of steam, as well as a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions by over 3,900 tons. At present, the renovation technology for this project is at an advanced level in the industry, offering strong potential for replication and dissemination. It not only enhances a company’s profitability but also drives technological progress within the industry.
