There is a set of clean water pumps with a flow rate of 800 m3/h and a calculated head of 45 m. Now two pumps are required; the estimated head with these two pumps is 47 m. What flow rate and head should the pumps have?
Just choose a model with a capacity of 800 m3 and a head of 47 m. The pump manufacturer will increase these values accordingly as the rated flow rate and head; they will not use the figures you provide. As a result, the flow rate and head of the pump chosen will be slightly higher than the values you specified, but the pump will still operate within an efficient range under the parameters you requested
For separation, should we choose 2*400m3 with a head of 47m? There are currently two manufacturers: one offers models with a capacity of 2*420m3 and a head pressure of 48m, while the other offers models with a capacity of 2*410m3 and a head pressure of 50m. The quotes and background information of these manufacturers are similar; so which one should be chosen from a technical perspective?

Consider the motor power and the pump’s efficiency; choose a lower motor power and a higher pump efficiency, as this directly affects the energy consumption during operation
