Can the alkylation and nitration units be arranged together? Is there no separation between the production equipment? !
Alkylation and nitration units are usually not installed together, as these two production processes require different equipment and process conditions; combining them can lead to operational difficulties, increased complexity in process control, and safety risks. At the same time, placing the two types of devices together at the production site also increases the risk to workers, and is not conducive to protecting the environment and human health. Therefore, it is generally not recommended to place alkylation and nitration units together; sufficient separation distance and effective safety protection measures should be provided between the equipment. .
In fact, whether certain chemical processing units are placed together depends mainly on whether there is an upstream-downstream relationship in terms of raw materials/products between these units, as well as on whether any hazardous factors exist that make it difficult for them to coexist. As for operational management, the operators and managers of the two devices should not be the same group of people; even if they are part of the same group, their operations, equipment management, and the transportation of raw materials and auxiliary supplies should be carried out separately, with strict operating procedures and management regulations in place. Furthermore, by being arranged together, it should refer to being placed separately in the horizontal plane, albeit at relatively close distances; the required passages and fire exits cannot mean being arranged together in the vertical direction.
