The standard \"Classification of the Hazard Level of Toxic Substances Exposed in the Workplace\" GB5044-1985 is no longer in use; for the classification of toxic substance hazards, reference should be made to the standard \"Classification of the Hazard Level of Toxic Substances Exposed in the Workplace\" GBZ 230-2010. However, the calculations required by GBZ 230-2010 are complex. A clear classification system can be found in the standard \"Classification Criteria for the Toxicity and Explosive Hazards of Chemical Media in Pressure Vessels\" HG/T20660-2017. According to HG/T20660-2017, concentrated sulfuric acid falls into Category G1 carcinogens, that is, substances proven to cause cancer in humans, and is therefore considered a highly hazardous medium.
