Flip-top level gauge, isolation fluid, issues

The initial problem was that the float of the dilute alkali flap level gauge got stuck, probably due to crystals or foreign objects. To resolve this completely, they said to use a sealing fluid, but I have no idea what that is. I want to learn about it, so I’m hoping that fellow sailors can tell me the principle behind sealing fluids, what their design structure is, how to apply them, and where to apply them
I’ve never heard of a flap level gauge with isolation fluid.
The drain valve below keeps leaking frequently. I’ve never heard of such a thing as an isolation fluid; it tends to get stuck, and cleaning it isn’t difficult either

I really don’t know about using a separating fluid; is it low-temperature crystallization with a heating jacket? As for the alkaline solution, let me tell you that as the temperature rises, its corrosiveness increases, so be careful with the material used.
The poster probably isn’t in the instrumentation field… I haven’t heard of any design for magnetic flip switches that uses an isolating fluid

The isolation fluid should be non-volatile and non-melting, with a density higher than that of the medium it surrounds
I checked the isolation fluid; it was said that mineral oil is one type of such fluid. I’m not quite sure about this and really want to understand it. If a flap level gauge needs an isolation fluid, how should it be added? Isn’t it true that there are no level gauges with flip switches and isolation fluid in the first place? Thank you
