Sea friends, may I ask what type of level gauge is suitable for storing dilute alkalis and concentrated alkalis? We are currently using a flap level gauge, but the problem is that the flaps no longer display any reading. The reason could be that alkali crystals have blocked the inlet, or it might be that impurities have gotten stuck in the float. So I would like to ask you all: those of you who have used dilute alkalis must have encountered such problems as well, and I wonder how you solved them.

For the level and interface detection of the alkali washing tanks in these factories, single-flange and double-flange designs are used. However, during operation, crystallization and contamination on the flange surfaces do occur from time to time, and this issue can only be addressed through maintenance. Compared to magnetic level gauges, blockages occur much less frequently. A drain valve is installed at the bottom of the flange; when blockages or crystallizations arise, steam can be used to clear them, which is a better solution than disassembly and cleaning. Alkali solutions are not only painful to touch but also have a strong unpleasant odor, making it difficult to clean clothes that come into contact with them.
