What is the purpose of the hole in this throttle device?

I found that this hole is leaking; I don’t know what its purpose is or how to deal with it
It seems to be some kind of built-in orifice plate; it’s not clear to see, but any leakage of the medium is not acceptable
Vent hole for reinforcement plate construction. It’s to release pressure; otherwise, if the gas has no way to escape due to the full welding of the reinforcement plates, it can easily prevent the weld from taking the proper shape.

I’ve seen them before; they are used for holes in workpieces, and if there’s a leak, it’s not acceptable
It has a built-in orifice plate, two pressure tapping pipes; if there is leakage in the reinforcement, it indicates a problem with the welds.
This post was last edited by dpclove21 on 2022-12-14 08:27. These are the ventilation holes in the reinforcement plate; the reinforcement plate, being of a fixed-type design, wasn’t fully welded internally, which led to leaks
