Why are temperature switches used on belt scales?

As shown in the figure, a weight sensor (WT1101C) and a speed sensor (ST1101C) are installed on Belt 3#. These two are easy to understand, but what is the purpose of the temperature sensor (TS1101C)?
Temperature is used for interlocked shutdown to prevent the belt from catching fire due to high temperatures, or to prevent wind from the fan from blowing back onto the belt and causing a fire.
When the feeding speed is too high, friction between the belt and other components generates heat. After feeding is complete, some coal remains in the hopper and on the belt; if the temperature of the belt becomes too high, there is a risk that the coal will catch fire. Therefore, a temperature sensor is installed to prevent excessive heat from accumulating as a result of coal buildup after transmission stops, thereby avoiding the risk of fire.
Original poster, this is a coal feeder; your diagram is incomplete. There should also be a plug valve at the discharge opening of the coal feeder. The coal powder is blown into the coal drop pipe by a coal blowing fan, and the temperature sensor is used to control the plug valve – its main purpose is to prevent the high-temperature flue gases in the furnace from flowing back into the coal feeder and damaging the belts
