When selecting a UPS for a DCS system, should a power supply with line frequency or high-frequency operation be used?

After all, power-frequency machines are too large and inconvenient to use. However, I’m worried that high-frequency machines might be unstable and cause damage to the DCS system. There are many discussions on the Internet regarding this topic; numerous sources state that adding an isolation transformer to a high-frequency UPS doesn’t work and that it essentially returns things to the way they were with conventional frequency UPS units. I don’t know much about UPS systems – could you explain the principle behind such a configuration? Thank you!
